Filegami is a local desktop application. It runs entirely on your machine. Your files, your folder names, and your routing decisions never leave your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data as part of normal use.
Filegami monitors your Downloads folder and moves files to project folders you have defined. All of this happens locally. No file contents, file names, or folder paths are ever sent to any server.
Filegami stores your project configuration, routing rules, and routing history in a local SQLite database on your device at %APPDATA%\Filegami\. This data never leaves your machine.
On first launch, Filegami asks if you want to share anonymous usage statistics to help improve the product. This is entirely optional.
If you agree, Filegami sends the following to our server:
app_launch or file_routedWe never send file names, folder paths, project names, or any personally identifiable information. There is no way to trace telemetry events back to you.
You can change your choice at any time in Settings.
The Settings tab includes an optional panel where you can provide your email address to receive product updates. This is entirely optional and can be dismissed permanently.
If you submit your email, it is stored with Brevo (our email provider) and used only to send product update notifications. We do not sell or share your email address.
You can request deletion of your email at any time by contacting support@filegami.com.
Filegami uses Sentry for crash reporting. If the application crashes, an error report is sent to Sentry containing the error message, stack trace, app version, and operating system version. No file names, folder paths, or personal data are included in crash reports.
The filegami.com website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Only anonymous aggregate statistics (page views, country) are recorded.
Filegami is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify users via the in-app update notification.
